Justin Baldoni’s lawyer is chiming in after the It Ends With Us legal battle was referenced during Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special. Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, made a surprise appearance for the live show on Sunday, Feb. 16, during which Amy Poehler and Tina Fey asked Reynolds how he was doing. Reynolds replied that he was “great,” teasing, “Why, what have you heard?” The segment raised eyebrows among viewers before Baldoni’s lawyer shared his perspective in a podcast interview. “I’m unaware of anybody, frankly, whose wife has been sexually harassed and has made jokes about that type of situation. I can’t think of anyone who’s done anything like that, so it surprised me,” Bryan Freedman said. Lively accused Baldoni — who directed and costarred in It Ends With Us — of sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed in December 2024. Baldoni later sued Reynolds and Lively, along with her publicist, for defamation. Both Lively and Baldoni have denied the allegations against them. A trial date has been set for March 2026.
