‘So sad’: Luann de Lesseps cancels Countess Christmas shows in Florida due to COVID
It really was a very COVID Christmas for this “Real Housewives of New York” star.
Luann de Lesseps was forced to cancel her “A Very Countess Christmas” tour after a member of her team tested positive for COVID-19, she announced on social media.
The 56-year-old broke the unfortunate news to her followers Wednesday after the latest wave of the coronavirus variant, omicron, began to gain strength.
The affected shows, all directed by Richard Jay-Alexander of Miami Beach and theater great Billy Stritch, included several in the Sunshine State. On Sunday, the countess would have played The Parker in Fort Lauderdale.
“All I wanted for Christmas was to be with you all!” said the Bravo star’s post. “I am extremely disappointed not to be able to be there with you in Florida. The last thing I would want is to disappoint my fans. I’m so sad this is happening on my tour and worldwide. Stay safe and I’ll see you all soon.”
Other concerts, which she says will be rescheduled at a later date, include Hard Rock Live in Orlando on Monday night and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tuesday night in Tampa.
If the shows are reinstated, your ticket will remain good. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.
