Sundance Institute returns to Miami

In conjunction with the John S. and James L. Knight foundation, the prestigious Sundance Institute returns to South Florida for another intensive workshop for working and aspiring filmmakers, as well as plain old movie buffs.

Directors Michael Almereyda (2000’s Hamlet with Ethan Hawke), Sara Colangelo (Little Accidents) and homeboy Kenny Riches (The Strongest Man) will conduct a half-day seminar, “Sundance Shorts Lab,” which will focus on narrative short-form storytelling.

The event will take place from noon-5:30 p.m. on Saturday April 25 at O Cinema Miami Beach, 500 71 St. Admission is free but advance registration is required.
