Tennis superstar Serena Williams married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans on Thursday evening, a glamorous grand slam filled with celebrity and sports royalty.
The “Beauty and the Beast”- themed wedding took place at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. Gold-draped tables covered in yellow, coral, and blue-and-white flowers were named after Williams’ Grand Slam titles and each guest took home a replica of her trophies, according to a photo gallery featured in Vogue. Two thrones graced the head of the long table, seating for the bride and groom.
The 250 wedding guests were an A-list of athletes and celebs and included Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Serena’s sister Venus and their mother, Oracene Price, according to news reports. Sports A-listers included Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and her NBA beau David Lee, the Daily Mail reported.
