Still looking for the iPhone X in Miami? You’re out of luck
Smartphone fanatics lined up for hours outside the Apple store Friday on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach to hold their new baby: The iPhone X.
And don’t refer to the latest “It” smartphone as the letter “X;” it’s called 10, as in the the Roman numeral for 10.
Some planner types skipped the queue altogether — because they preordered the X on Oct. 27.

Like Alexander Guzman.
“I did my preorder on launch day,” he told the Miami Herald. “I got to skip the entire line. I was in and out in a matter of 10 minutes…which was wonderful.”
Also wonderful — Guzman’s new toy in black.
“It’s very sleek, very nice,” he said with a wide smile. “Very nice design.”
From Philly, to Miami, to LA, and pretty much everywhere else people are waiting in lines overnight for the #iPhoneX. @WPTV pic.twitter.com/iV4myvbPFJ

So nice that it sold out in South Florida in just one day, reports a staffer at the Apple store in Brickell City Centre.
The smartphone du jour starts at $999; new features include a 5.8-inch super retina display with OLED screen and facial-recognition.
Breathe a sigh of relief: You can still order online.
