Miami Marlins owner Derek Jeter settling into his new city like a boss
He’s known as Mr. November.
Now, Derek Jeter is on his way to becoming Mr. Miami.
On Sunday, the new Miami Marlins co-owner was spotted taking in the most Miami of musicals, “On Your Feet,” at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Jeter arrived to the musical, which follows the rise of Gloria and Emilio Estefan, with his model wife Hannah Davis. The baseball great also posed with Emilio Estefan, who attended the matinee as well and posted a video on Facebook. “Thank you Miami for the love!” Estefan wrote, thanking the Jeters for coming out to the show’s last day in Miami. A gaggle of fans surround the stars and take photos with their phones.
Next stop for “OYF!”: Dr Philips Center in Orlando.
This was not Jeter’s only big social outing.
On Thursday, the former New York Yankees shortstop was the guest of honor at at Komodo, where Sean “Diddy” Combs threw him a welcome to Miami party.
Also at the Brickell area party was Magic City fixture DJ Khaled, as well as hip hopper French Montana, bachata singer Prince Royce.
Nope. It didn’t take long for the New Jersey native, 43, to get acclimated to his new city. On Tuesday, just about a week into his new job, Jeter found his way to longtime Brickell favorite, Perricone’s Marketplace & Café, for lunch. The new dad (daughter Bella was born in August) gladly posed with Perricone’s manager, John “JD” Doland.
