In 2025, a brand-new cruise will take Comic-Con to the sea

In a major announcement set to take place in 2025, San Diego Comic Con and Entertainment Cruise Productions have revealed their collaboration on an innovative project: Comic-Con: The Cruise. This creative venture will bring a unique twist to the beloved convention and entertainment extravaganza, promising an unforgettable experience for fans and enthusiasts alike.

The full-ship charter is set to offer an array of grabbing programming that is sure to please attendees. From thrilling theme-night parties and immersive cosplay events to engaging trivia competitions, this event promises to keep guests entertained throughout, notes USA Today. Additionally, folks can look forward to thought-provoking panels and interactive Q&A sessions that will provide unique insights. In addition, the talent lineup for the meet and greets will shortly be revealed.

In a recent news release, Greg Laubach, the Executive Director of Entertainment Cruise Productions, expressed his appreciation for Comic-Con, highlighting its unparalleled ability to foster a sense of camaraderie and provide distinctive opportunities that cannot be found elsewhere.

“Comic-Con is unrivaled in creating a community that brings people together for experiences you can’t find anywhere else,” Laubach said, adding “It’s what we love to do, and we have designed Comic-Con: The Cruise to be a one-of-a-kind ultimate fan adventure.”

The journey will set off from Feb. 5–9, 2025, on Royal Caribbean International’s Serenade of the Seas ship, which has a double occupancy capacity for more than 2,100 passengers.

With two days at sea, passengers will take a round-trip cruise from Tampa, Florida, to Cozumel, Mexico.

Pricing for staterooms on Comic-Con: The Cruise begins at $990 per person, double occupancy, according to the press release. Coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as the opportunity to watch performances and attend parties, are all part of the package.
