Priceline, the prominent player in travel planning and booking, has recently unveiled a comprehensive range of booking tools and enhancements. Among these advancements is the integration of artificial intelligence, known as Trip Intelligence, which has been made available to all users as of June 28, 2023.

As reported by TravelPulse, Penny, a generative AI travel assistant, is just one of the 40 enhancements and features added to the website and app by Priceline’s Trip Intelligence, which also allows users to book hotels straight through the chatbot.

The following are some additional enhancements and improvements:

  • Distances from attractions and hotels, neighborhood ratings, current weather conditions, and more can all be found with the new “Neighborhood Lookaround” feature.

  • With more family-friendly filters and reviews now available, travelers arranging family or group trips together can better cater to the unique requirements that these travel types normally have.

  • A dynamic list of hotel recommendations based on your travel history is now available to frequent Priceline users who book their accommodations.

  • When sudden changes arise in a travel itinerary, Priceline customers now have an easier way to rebook their flights than ever before by using airline credit directly on the website or app.

In a recent statement, Kevin Heery, the Chief Product Officer at Priceline, emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to improving the booking experience for its customers. Heery highlighted that Priceline’s technological advancements are driven by a philosophy that places customer satisfaction at the forefront.

“Trip Intelligence represents a robust set of new capabilities, including a first-to-market generative-AI based booking solution, expressly designed to further power how our technology can enhance our customers’ experience,” Heery added.
