$350-million Oasis at Lakeport is coming to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2024
Ground will soon be broken for an exciting new development that has lake lovers buzzing.
In nearly a year’s time, the Lake of the Ozarks will be home to a new $350-million family resort and entertainment district called “Oasis at Lakeport.” The development, which was officially proposed in October 2022, was unanimously approved by the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen on Thursday, June 1.
Construction on Oasis at Lakeport is slated to begin “immediately,” according to Lake Expo, with the hopes of debuting in summer 2024. The massive project is a joint venture between St. Louis-based developers SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development.
“With the development plan approved by the City of Osage Beach, we are extremely pleased to begin construction of Oasis at Lakeport, which will offer year-round attractions and entertainment for everyone at the lake to enjoy,” said Todd Schneider, co-managing partner of SkyView Partners. “SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development are committed to keeping the Osage Beach community informed of our progress over the next year as Oasis grows to be the premiere tourist destination of the Midwest.”
Oasis at Lakeport will reside off of Highway 54 in Osage Beach, MO. Construction plans include a year-round entertainment complex featuring 25 acres of amusement rides and attractions, ranging from roller coasters and thrill rides to a 200-foot-tall observation wheel. A Marriott Hotels property is also in the works, as well as an indoor waterpark, restaurants, 200 public boat slips, and a parking garage with 1,000 spaces.
The new development will also have a positive impact on employment for the city.
“Oasis at Lakeport will generate over 500 jobs and bring 500,000 visitors to Missouri, further enhancing tourism, one of Missouri’s leading industries,” said Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe in an October 2022 press release. “I welcome this project for its future impact on mid-Missouri’s economy as well as its commitment to bringing a centrally located, state-of-the-art entertainment district to the Osage Beach community.”
