Rock The Bells and Afrofuture unite with Sixthman for the first-ever AfroCruise
A celebration of African culture is hitting the high seas.
Rock The Bells, the celebrated global hip-hop platform founded by LL Cool J, and AfroFuture, an annual celebration of African culture, have joined forces with festival curator Sixthman to present the first-ever AfroCruise. The once-in-a-lifetime event will take over the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship, sailing from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, on March 29 to April 1, 2024.
AfroCruise is a fully immersive event showcasing fashion, food, and the irresistible sounds of Afrobeats and Amapiano music. The cruise’s official announcement states the spectacular lineup of world-renowned artists will soon be revealed.
While cruisers are not enjoying music performances, the four days at sea will be full of activities and events saluting everything from the diaspora. Guests will get to settle the question of what country has the best rice with a traditional Jollof War and enjoy a West African Suya Pool Deck BBQ, DJ sets, tournaments, special workshops, and more. Several events will be led by experiential partner AfroVerse, a premiere creative agency dedicated to amplifying African culture through art, food and music activations.
AfroCruise will also feature parties presented by Afrobeats & Brunch, London’s Days Like This, Positive Vibes Only (PVO), RNB HouseParty, and NYC’s popular No Wahala podcast. While basking in breathtaking sea views and glorious Caribbean sunshine, guests can take advantage of all the incredible amenities available aboard the Norwegian Pearl, including fully stocked bars at (almost) every corner, tasty dining options, the pool deck and its multiple hot tubs, the Pearl Club Casino, Mandara Spa, Body Waves Fitness Center, sports court, and much more.
Guests can also enjoy a shore excursion to Nassau, Bahamas – the ultimate vacationer’s paradise with its laid-back vibes, perfect white-sand beaches, palm trees covered in coconuts, and refreshing, crystal-clear waters.
