Disneyland Resort reveals new details for Pixar Place Hotel transformation

Guests at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort will soon be immersed in the world of Pixar. The 15-story high-rise hotel is transforming Pixar Place Hotel. Once completed, the location will be the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States.

The hotel overlooks Disney California Adventure Park and boasts 480 rooms.

Disneyland Resorts announced the renovations on Thursday and shared images of the possible artwork and fun details that will pop up at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. The hotel is already giving a peek into the new design by updating the location’s exterior with bright Pixar-inspired colors.

The colorful refurbishment is the first step in the hotel’s transformation, which is projected to be completed by this winter.

The lobby is undergoing renovations, merging familiar Pixar images with the hotel’s contemporary setting. The announcement from the resort stated that when the transformation is complete, guests will be greeted by “iconic images from Pixar films” at the front desk, with characters pictured larger than life in curated artwork.

By the end of the extensive renovations, the trademark Pixar Lamp will be a fixture in the new, reimagined lobby atrium creating the perfect picture opportunity for visitors.

There are some cool updates that guests will get to enjoy before the winter.

Overnight guests will still be able to take advantage of the summer heat and enjoy the all-new water play area inspired by “Finding Nemo.”

Guests will get to splish and splash alongside the fan-favorite fish and his friends. Everyone’s favorite sea turtle, Crush the sea turtle sits atop a 186-foot-long water slide while Hank and his tentacles hang out at the pop-jet splash pad and more!

Pixar’s famous short films are the inspirations behind a family play court that will be added later this year. On the main outside deck of the resort, families will get to experience interactive games and imaginative free play celebrating favorite friends from “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.”

Guests can feel the romance enjoying food and drinks under the love-struck umbrellas from “The Blue Umbrella.”

Take your drink poolside to enjoy the fantastic views of the Disneyland fireworks.

The Southern California-based restaurant, Great Maple, will open its doors in the resort this fall. The modern American eatery is serving its playful take on upscale comfort food.

Their signature dishes of Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, the Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, will be accessible to hotel guests, local diners and theme park goers!

The announcement ensured Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, overnight guests with valid park tickets and reservations can still enjoy the great benefits of staying on property at the Disneyland Resort, even during renovations.
