Afrobeats artist, Davido announces North American tour dates
Afrobeats artist Davido is making his way to North America on his “Timeless” tour. The artist will visit five cities performing hits from his latest album, “Timeless,” which was released on March 31. The shows will begin in Washington, D.C., on July 1 and roll through arenas until his last performance in Toronto, Canada, on July 15.
“Timeless” is the Nigerian-born artist’s fourth studio album and his highest-charting project to date. The 17-track effort features Asake, Logos Olori, Skepta, Dexta Daps, Morravey, and more guest appearances. The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Music Chart and No. 10 on the U.K. Albums Chart.
REVOLT shared a statement from the artist regarding the album.
“’Timeless’ is a body of work that goes beyond fashion and trends,” Davido said. “It’s an authentic body of work that remains true to my core as an artist, which is using my music to bring joy to my fans across the world. The songs you hear today will be just as relevant tomorrow. That’s why it’s timeless.”
The artist has already been performing sold-out shows this year. He hit the stage at Irving Plaza in New York City and then jumped the pond to perform at Koko in London. His latest concert was on Saturday at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
The artist shared footage from the massive show, thanking the audience for their energy. He teased the announcement of the tour on the post.
A special presale for fans begins on April 26 at 10 a.m. and general tickets go on sale April 28 at 10 a.m. The tour is in partnership with Live Nation Urban. Ticketing information can be found here.
