Kendrick Lamar, Red Hot Chili Peppers slated to headline this year’s Lollapalooza

Have you created your summer festival fund yet? If so, add Lollapalooza to the budget because they just released the lineup for this year’s festival.

The OG of the festival world returns after celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2021. The multi-day event will take over Grant Park in Chicago on August 3-6, 2023.

Lollapalooza has announced over 170 acts to perform over the four days, with some of the music industry’s top billers as headliners. Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Odesza, Lana Del Rey, Karol G, The 1975 and Tomorrow X Together provide an eclectic tone to this year’s festival as the principal performers. Other well-known acts, such as Pusha T, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Lil’ Yachty, Tems, Carly Rae Jepsen, Diplo and Rema, also take one of the nine stages this year.

Festival-goers get to enjoy the best of Chicago during the event. Lollapalooza’s official website shares that some of the Windy City’s best eats will be displayed over four days, which is sure to be something other than your average concert food.

This year, ticket packages range from general admission for $365, which includes a full-service bar with preferred pricing sodas and cocktails, food options, jumbo screens with live streams from the main stages, water refill stations, lawn games and more.

The most expensive package for general purchase is the Platinum level at $4350, which includes private entrances, seating areas, unlimited food and bar service and festival-themed glitter hair treatments.

Since its beginning, Lollapalooza has supported the arts and music scene of its longtime home, Chicago. The latest was the launch of their Lollapalooza Arts Education Fund in 2021. The fund is a $2.2 million donation to support arts and education in Chicago Public Schools.
