Everybody sing and everybody dance because Lionel Richie is adding his name to the 2023 concert tour docket. Rolling Stone confirmed on Monday that the legendary singer will be embarking on a North American tour this summer and will be joined by Earth, Wind and Fire

The “Sing a Song All Night Long” tour has 20 dates and will be making stops at arenas around the U.S. and Canada, including Toronto, Chicago, Denver and Tampa. The tour starts on August 4 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center and concludes on September 15 in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum.

Richie’s last tour was in 2019, but he’s remained busy in the interim. 2022, in particular, was a busy year for the singer-songwriter; Richie received the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by the Library of Congress, earned the American Music Awards Icon Award, was inducted into the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame and was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also returned for his sixth season as a judge on the singing competition series, “American Idol,” where he is accompanied by singers Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.

The mighty elements of the universe, Earth, Wind and Fire, have also been keeping busy. In 2021, the iconic band reached the top 10 for Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for the first time in 28 years with their single “You Want My Love,” featuring R&B singer Lucky Daye. In 2022, they toured with guitarist Carlos Santana and appeared in the Isley Brothers’ album, “Make Me Say It Again Girl.” The band will be joining Richie on the heels of their own tour, which ends on July 2 in Camdenton, Missouri.
