“March 4 will be a hilarious evening, with an incredible set from Chris Rock – one of the greatest stand-ups of all-time – and contributions from an amazing lineup of special guests,” Robbie Praw, Netflix Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats said in a press release. “Our goal is to deliver the best stand-up comedy to our members and this live streaming event further reinforces all the ways we continue to invest in the genre.”

Den of Thieves will be in charge of the production, with Joe DeMaio at the helm, and Jill Leiderman and Jared Morell serve as executive producers. “Selective Outrage” is Rock’s second Netflix stand-up comedy performance. His debut, titled Chris Rock: Tamborine, came out in February of 2018.

The show continues Netflix’s tradition of excellence in live comedy. Netflix is a Joke: Taking place in the spring of 2022, the festival was Netflix’s largest ever in-person event. More than 330 comedians performed 295 shows at the record-breaking event, which took place in more than 35 venues throughout Los Angeles and sold more than 260,000 tickets. The inaugural stand-up performance at Dodger Stadium took place as part of the festival.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Chris Rock will finally address the Will Smith slap in this next stand-up special.
