Five Cardinal Gibbons players sign, including three with FBS schools, on National Signing Day
Cardinal Gibbons’ Deon McIntosh signed with one of the University of Miami’s rivals a year after his older brother Richard signed with the Hurricanes.
McIntosh, a 5-11, 175-pound standout running back, signed with Notre Dame — the school to which he had been committed since November.
McIntosh was one of five football players who signed for Gibbons, including three with FBS programs.
Defensive backs Elijah and Elisha Daniels each signed with Maryland.
Elijah, a 5-11, 187-pound safety, and Elisha, a 6-0, 180-pound cornerback, had each once been committed to Minnesota, but they switched to Maryland in recent weeks and officially became members of the Terrapins roster Wednesday morning.
Gibbons also had quarterback Carmine Scarfone sign with Colgate.
Defensive back Marquis Wilson signed with Lehigh.
