FIU football schedule ranks in middle of the pack

Solely on the basis of opponents’ won-loss record in regular season games against full FBS teams, FIU has the 66th-toughest schedule in the nation this year out of 128 FBS teams, according to FBSSchedules.com.

FIU’s opponents went 80-70 last season in games not involving FCS teams or FBS transitional teams. That’s fourth among Conference USA teams behind Texas-San Antonio (84-68, 44th), Southern Miss (83-68, tied for 47th) and Louisiana Tech (81-70, 60th).

FIU announced that all 12 football games will be broadcast on 1210 AM ESPN Deportes for the second consecutive season. So far, nine of 12 FIU games will be televised.
