Sept. 17: at Louisville, Noon (ABC)
No. 19 Louisville returns most of its starters, including sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson, who threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns in last year’s 41-21 loss to FSU. Louisville 27, FSU 24.
Sept. 24: at South Florida (TBA)
Another potentially tough test early in the season. USF was hot at the end of last season, winning seven of its last eight games to end the regular season. FSU 21, USF 17.
Oct. 1: North Carolina (TBA)
The No. 22 Tar Heels are one of five teams on the Seminoles’ schedule ranked in the preseason AP poll. FSU 38, UNC 14.
Oct. 8: at Miami (TBA)
The Seminoles have won six in a row against the Canes. UM will be looking to avenge its 29-24 heartbreaking loss in Tallahassee. FSU 27, Miami 16.
Oct. 15: Wake Forest (TBA)
The Demon Deacons ranked 113th in total offense in 2015 and won’t be much better in 2016. This could be a chance for a Seminoles shutout. FSU 49, Wake Forest 0.
Oct. 29: Clemson (TBA)
Both teams begin the season in the top five. The winner of this game has won the ACC each of the past five seasons. Good bet that it will be six by the end of the season. FSU 41, Clemson 34.
Nov. 5: at North Carolina State (TBA)
If FSU can make it past Clemson unbeaten, this will be the start of the playoff push, but the Wolfpack is no pushover in Raleigh. FSU 34, N.C. State 21.
Nov. 11: Boston College, 7:30 p.m. (ESPN2)
Florida State will play on Friday for the second year in a row. BC went 0-8 in the ACC last season. FSU 45, BC 7.
Nov. 19: at Syracuse (TBA)
The Orange lost eight in a row at one point last season. Could be a good week for Dalvin Cook to pad his stats for the Heisman race. FSU 44, Syracuse 14.
Nov. 26: Florida (TBA)
Jim McElwain squeezed 10 wins out of the Gators without a quarterback last season. It will be interesting to see what he can do if he finds one this season. FSU 21, Florida 10.
