Fantasy Baseball 2026: Prospect Call-Up Watch Week 10 – Who's Moving Closer?
Early-season slumps and injuries to fantasy baseball standouts like Teoscar Hernandez are forcing teams like the Dodgers to promote top prospects and more call ups of minor league standouts are on the way. Let's find fantasy baseball prospects who are close to being major league ready and can potentially make a positive impact on fantasy baseball rosters.
Top Prospects Moving Closest to Call-Up This Week - Immediate Redraft & Dynasty Targets
Noelvi Marte, Reds - 3B/OF
I identified JJ Bleday as a good call up option for the Reds here and he has been a pleasant surprise. However, the Reds can still use an added infusion of offense to their outfield and Marte looks like he's ready to make his return to the big leagues. Marte was sent down to the minor leagues after posting a .138 BA in 29 at bats earlier this season but with a .372 BA, eight home runs, 26 RBI and nine SB in 39 Triple-A games since his demotion, he's got nothing else to prove in the minor leagues.
Cole Carrigg, Rockies - SS/OF
Despite playing half their games in hitter friendly Coors Field, the Rockies' team offense has the worst wRC+ (84) in baseball. Carrigg has spent most of his minor league career patrolling center field, but he's also played 42 games at shortstop. With Mickey Moniak on the IL due to right ankle tendinitis, and Ezequiel Tovar batting .209 with a .599 OPS in his first 153 at bats against right-handed pitching, the Rockies can use an infusion of Carrigg's bat to ignite their offense. Carrigg is a switch hitter who is crushing both Triple-A right-handed pitching (.349 BA, .995 OPS) and left-handed pitching (.329 BA, .816 OPS) this season. His 2026 .408 OBP and 15.2% K rate demonstrate his elite plate discipline.
Cooper Ingle, Guardians - C
Ingle is an extremely disciplined hitter who through his first 34 Triple-A games, has more walks (32) than strikeouts (29). With the Guardians recently demoting Bo Naylor and getting very little offensive production from Austin Hedges or Patrick Bailey, adding Ingle's bat to their big-league roster seems like a no-brainer. Ingle has a gaudy .324/.479/.611 triple slash in his first 108 at bats to go along with eight home runs and 32 RBI.
High-Upside Watch-List Prospects Gaining Steam - Minor-League Standouts Not Yet on Most Radars
Denzer Guzmán, Angels - SS/3B
Guzmán is on the Angels' 40-man roster and had brief exposure to major league pitching in 2025. He struggled in the big leagues, batting .190 with a .566 OPS in 42 at bats, but has been raking in the minor leagues this season. In his first 53 games in Triple-A, Guzmán is slashing .323/.392/.535 and has slugged 10 home runs and knocked in 50 runs. With the Angels using light-hitting Donovan Walton at the hot corner of late, the 22-year-old Guzmán could be given another chancing of proving he belongs in the major leagues before long.
James Tibbs III, Dodgers - OF
Tibbs III has been crushing it in his first season in Triple-A. In his first 54 games, Tibbs III is batting .322 with a 1.085 OPS. He has a 20.8 barrel rate and has hit 17 home runs, smacked 16 doubles and driven in 51 runs during that time span. Tibbs III has some swing and miss in his profile, but his high walk rate (14.7% this season), and the fact that he doesn't chase many balls outside the strike zone, has helped him offset the negative impact from this season's high K rate (25.1).
River Ryan, Dodgers - SP
With Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell on the IL there's been speculation that the Dodgers may be looking to add the red-hot Ryan to their starting rotation. In five minor league starts this season Ryan has pitched to a 2.05 ERA and has a 29:3 K:BB ratio in 22 IP. Ryan threw six innings in his last start and allowed an unearned run while striking out eight batters.
Injury & Roster-Created Call-Up Opportunities - Short-Term Streaming & Long-Term Stash Plays
Edwin Arroyo, Reds - SS/2B/3B
With Reds second baseman Matt McLain struggling and Arroyo swinging a hot bat for the Reds' Triple-A affiliate, it's only a matter of time before the switch-hitting fantasy baseball prospect is given a chance to show what he can do against big league pitching. Arroyo has a .323/.383/.562 triple slash in his first 53 minor league games and his 11 HR and 34 RBI put him on pace to surpass his career highs. He's a free swinger who chases pitches outside the strike zone, but you wouldn't know it from his 16.8% K%. With Elly De La Cruz suffering a hamstring injury on Sunday, the Reds may be forced to promote Arroyo sooner than expected.
Editor's Note: Arroyo was promoted by the Reds on June 1, 2026.
Charlie Condon, Rockies - 1B
TJ Rumfield is dealing with right shoulder inflammation, and if he's forced to miss time, Condon could be a potential fantasy baseball prospect call up to watch this week. He has eight home runs and 25 RBI in 48 Triple-A games to go along with a .262/.391/.470 triple slash. His minor league power numbers have been negatively affected by his recent injury history, but his ability to get on base (.391 OBP this season) adds to his potential fantasy value.
Prospect Call-Up Watch Strategy for Week 10
How Advanced Managers Should Act Right Now
MLB teams with specific needs have been willing to promote minor league standouts even if they haven't yet reached the Triple-A level. The Giants are a good example. Their offense has been sputtering all season, and they recently promoted Double-A outfield prospect Jonah Cox.
If you're hoping to add top prospects to your fantasy baseball roster monitor box scores and keep an eye on the standings to identify teams with a need for an influx of talent.
A team like the Tigers, who are in last place in the AL Central, might be likely to call up Brett Callahan, their power hitting Double-A prospect. Red Sox shortstop prospect Franklin Arias is just 20 years old, but he's manhandling Double-A pitching with a .331 BA and 1.026 OPS.
Keep in mind that rostering fantasy baseball prospects is risky. If you want to include a top minor league prospect in your fantasy baseball lineup, have a backup plan. The top skills displayed in the minor leagues don't always immediately transfer over against big league pitching and hitting.
Questions About Top Prospects, Answered
Who are the top prospects to watch for call-up in Week 10 2026?
Noelvi Marte, Cole Carrigg, Cooper Ingle, Edwin Arroyo and Charlie Condon are among the prospects highlighted as being closest to receiving major league opportunities.
When should I stash a prospect in redraft vs. dynasty leagues?
Advanced managers should prioritize prospects with clear paths to playing time and near-term opportunities in redraft leagues, while longer-term upside can carry more value in dynasty formats.
How do I monitor prospect call-up timelines effectively?
Monitor minor league box scores, prospect performance trends, injuries, and major league roster situations to identify teams that may need an influx of talent.
Are these Week 10 prospects different in shallow vs. deep leagues?
Yes. Some prospects are closer to immediate fantasy relevance, while others may be better suited as longer-term stashes in deeper formats.
Should I drop current roster players to stash these prospects?
Because prospect promotions carry risk, managers should have a backup plan and weigh the upside of a stash against the value of their current bench options.
