Tom Brady Suffers Loss to Greg Olsen for Major Award

On Tuesday night former NFL star tight end and current No. 2 analyst for Fox Sports Greg Olsen took home the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality – Event Analyst.

He beat out ESPN’s Troy Aikman, NBC’s Cris Collinsworth, CBS’ Bill Raftery and the man who took his job as the No. 1 analyst for Fox Sports: Tom Brady. The latter didn’t waste time offering his congratulations to Olsen in a video the longtime Carolina Panthers star posted to Instagram accepting the award.

“Amazing. Congratulations!!! Hard earned and well deserved my brother,” Brady said in a comment on the video.

“Incredibly honored and humbled to be able to add another Emmy – I was grateful to be nominated for every year that I’ve done it and now to win it for the third time,” Olsen said in a message on social media.

“Incredible group of people in our category, which is the case every single year. Last year Peyton [Manning] won it and this year with Tom, a Fox colleague, and now a close friend. Tom nominated this year and Cris Collinsworth, who’s an icon, Troy Aikman who’s one of the best to ever do it.”

He also mentioned Raftery, who is a legendary college basketball analyst and the only non-football analyst in the group.
