Jake Paul Reveals Why He's Banned From Attending WWE Events
The Paul brothers aren't everyone's cup of tea.
Jake, a YouTuber-turned-pro boxer, has a knack for talking smack and getting promoters and fans alike riled up. Logan, the co-founder of sports drink Prime and a WWE superstar, is slightly less outspoken but equally controversial.
Jake's brash personality is known for rubbing a lot of people the wrong way, and now it's got him banned from supporting his brother's career.
During an appearance on the "Smash Cast" podcast, Jake revealed that because he's taken multiple public shots at the UFC, its parent company TKO Group, has banned him from attending WWE events in person to support Logan (TKO is also WWE's parent company too).
"There are certain points and facts I'd like to see pushed forward, like the UFC fighter minimum pay being $12,000," Jake stated. "That needs to rise. But from my side, I'm just having fun. The fact that one of the biggest organizations in the world, TKO Group, has this major beef with me, they won't even let me attend my brother's WWE matches because they hate me so much."
Jake hasn't pulled any punches in his criticism of the UFC. He's ripped the UFC for underpaying its fighters and not providing health care benefits for lesser-known stars.
He even tried in the past to get a fighters union established to help MMA stars get increased pay, health benefits, and better working conditions to no avail. He even seems surprised TKO and the UFC are so up in arms over the things he's said.
"So it's pretty wild how much under their skin we are," he continued. "To me, it's just been a fun journey. I enjoy [expletive] talk. Like when people make fun of me. I'm easy to make fun of. I'm able to make fun of myself. So the beef, to me, is just fun and entertaining for everybody."
