Early risers noticed the difference on Thursday. Just a tad cooler, less humidity, a pleasant breeze.

That’s just an appetizer.

Ready for you at wake-up time Friday morning: fall in South Florida.

Lows are expected to be in the mid- to upper-60s in South Florida, according to forecasters.

Although Thursday’s high will rise to the mid-80s, Friday will be sunny and breezy with a high of 83, forecasters say.

“What a day,” CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said Thursday. “I know we’re going to see beautiful weather this weekend.”

But the breath of fresh air won’t stick around for long. On Sunday afternoon, things will heat up again, with a high in the mid- to upper-80s.

A Miami-area deluge — menacing clouds, thunder, heavy rain — started off the weather shift on Wednesday to dryer, cooler air.

No rain is expected through the weekend.

But then there’s Monday.
