Traffic flow will be hampered this week by roadwork on State Roads 836 and 836 as well as on Interstate 95 and the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike.
Several ramps will close intermittently for paving on 836 through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. They include the eastbound exit ramp to southbound Northwest 27th Avenue; the entrance ramp from Northwest 37th Avenue; the eastbound exit ramps to northbound and southbound Northwest 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road; the eastbound exit ramp to Northwest 45th Avenue; and the eastbound exit ramp to Northwest 57th Avenue.
On the Turnpike, all northbound lanes between Southwest 211th Street and Eureka Drive will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday for widening and express lane construction. Also for the same purpose, one or two northbound or southbound Turnpike lanes may be closed nightly at various locations between Southwest 216th Street and Eureka Drive between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday.
On I-95, the southbound ramp to Florida’s Turnpike and westbound S.R. 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. and Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. each night for paving.
Never miss a local story.
On 826, workers on the Palmetto Express lane project will perform various tasks this week including pile driving, overhead sign removal and installation of temporary barrier walls that will require several lane closures. They include one southbound Palmetto Expressway lane just north of Northwest 103rd Street through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day; two northbound and two southbound lanes at different locations between Northwest 74th and 122nd streets between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night through Friday.
