A car fire on I-95 North past the 62nd Street exit has brought traffic to a near standstill during the already busy morning rush hour on Thursday. All general lanes except the far-left one are shut down.

The express lanes are also heavily backed up as drivers rush to enter them to bypass the congestion.

City of Miami Fire Rescue crews were seen working to extinguish the flames and clear the wreckage. The fire was reported at 8:11 a.m., said Lt. Pete Sanchez. There were no reported injuries.

Drivers should expect significant delays and consider alternate routes.
