A driver escaped a burning camper with a cat inside. Watch what a Florida rescue crew did

A cat was rescued in the nick of time from a burning camper in North Naples, Florida, Wednesday evening.

According to the fire department, crews went to Immokalee and Livingston roads a little before 6 p.m. and “quickly extinguished” the blaze.

The driver, the sole occupant, was able to get out, but the cat remained inside.

Crews removed the trapped pet and gave first aid through an oxygen mask designed for cats and dogs.

In video with the agency’s Facebook post, one firefighter holds the cat while another places a mask over its little furry face.

Investigators said an electrical malfunction caused the blaze.

The Red Cross is assisting the owner and her cat.

“Job well done by all crews,” the post said.
