Donald Trump believes in climate change — but only when it threatens his golf course
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly called climate change a hoax and even referred to it as bull**** on his Twitter account.
But that didn’t stop him from citing climate change as the reason for building a seawall for his golf course in Ireland, according to a permit application for the wall obtained by Politico.
The permit application specifically cites global warming as a reason for building the seawall, as well as rising sea levels and extreme weather.

“If you’re being responsible you are protecting your property and investing in these things,” Cynthia McHale, director of the insurance program at Ceres, a nonprofit that works with businesses and institutional investors to promote sustainability, told Politico. “It’s certainly best practice.”
NBC News just called it the great freeze - coldest weather in years. Is our country still spending money on the GLOBAL WARMING HOAX?

But Trump has frequently said he doesn’t believe in either global warming or climate change in public, which is a common stance for Republicans. Trump has previously come under fire for not lining up with Republican ideals despite being the presumptive nominee.
