Is Ohio Gov. John Kasich considering a run for president?

Seemed that way Tuesday to some activists in New Hampshire.

The Republican visited the nation’s first primary state, speaking at a Politics & Pie event sponsored by Concord Republicans. According to the Concord Monitor, “wasn’t quite ready to commit to another candidacy – or to talk much about whether he’d set up a political action committee, or what kind of campaign staff he’d build, or when locals might be able to expect to see him again in New Hampshire.”

Yet there he was in Concord, discussing his experience as a second-term governor of a big swing state.

“Did you ever notice when you’re watching the presidential election that they never tell you who won the presidential election until the next day? Because it’s that kind of a place,” he said, according to the Monitor.

Kasich, who as a congressman was known for working with Democrats, said of his Ohio constituents, “They don’t want extremists.”

Later Tuesday, he tweeted a picture of himself with New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan, a Democrat.
