Two shot at a Miami Gardens park; shooter still on the loose

Two people who agreed to meet a third party through a social media site and make some type of exchange were shot at a Miami Gardens park Thursday.

Miami Gardens Spokeswoman Petula Burks said the shooting happened around 2 p.m. near Scott Park at 17710 NW 15th Ct. One victim was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The other victim, according to Burks, didn’t go to the hospital. The shooter had not been caught by early evening.

Using a social media site, the trio agreed to some type of sale and to meet at the park, Burks said. Police didn’t say what site or what was being sold.
