Someone saw a mannequin burning atop a Miami mall parking garage. It wasn’t a mannequin

What a witness thought was a mannequin burning atop The Falls’ shopping center parking garage in South Miami-Dade early Sunday turned out to be a human body, Miami-Dade police said.

By the time Miami-Dade Fire Rescue doused the burning body at SW 136th St. and U.S. 1, the person was dead.

Both identification and whether or not the person was still alive when set on fire will have to wait for the medical examiner’s report. The body fire burned long enough that even gender couldn’t be determined on the scene, police said.

Anyone with information on this can contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at the website or 305-471-8477 (TIPS).
