Woman’s body found floating behind home in Fort Lauderdale
Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found floating behind a Fort Lauderdale home on Sunday.
The body was found in a waterway behind a residence on 2602 Tortugas Lane about noon, according to Fort Lauderdale police spokesperson Det. Tracy Figone. The home is in the Lauderdale Isles area just north of Interstate 595, where many of the houses back up to canals.
Figone said the circumstances of the woman’s death are still unknown. No other details about the death investigation were immediately released.
