When the burglar approached the house the first time, he saw the camera and took off. The next day, he came prepared with the day’s copy of El Nuevo Herald.
Holding the open newspaper in front of his face, he approached the home, then covered and disabled the doorbell camera. Miami Beach police were on their way Wednesday morning, after the home’s alarm went off.
When police arrived, they found the side door busted open and a drawer full of $11,600 worth of jewelry and makeup stolen. The burglar, who appeared to be wearing a dark baseball cap, glasses and long pants, was gone.
Anyone who recognizes the subject, subject vehicle or has any information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305.471.TIPS.
