Early morning fire consumes Opa-Locka restaurant

An Opa-locka restaurant went up in flames Thursday morning.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the La Romana Café, at 13880 NW 27th Ave., just before 5 a.m. The cafe was billowing smoke and flames.

The fire crew was able to rein in the fire, but not before the building was heavily damaged, according to MDFR.

No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
