Miami police officer injured in Model City hit-and-run crash
A car slammed into a Miami police officer's marked patrol vehicle early Sunday morning in a Model City intersection and then took off, according to Miami police.
The hit-and-run accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning at Northwest Seventh Avenue and 71st Street.
Miami police spokeswoman Frederica Burden said that police are looking for a newer model dark-colored Toyota Camry with dark tints.
The officer was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.
