    County Commissioner Barbara Jordan wants to eliminate the free rides on downtown's Metromover system - a perk for riders that was part of the promises made during the 2002 half-penny transit tax campaign. Jordan argues that bus riders in other parts of Miami-Dade have been whacked by fare increases, and they are basically subsidizing the downtown Metromover riders.
