Uber driver arrested for reportedly selling cocaine in Coconut Grove

Miami police arrested an Uber driver late Tuesday night after he reportedly attempted to sell cocaine in Coconut Grove, Miami Herald news partner CBS4 reported.

Miami police said they were conducting an anti-gun violence operation when they received a tip that a narcotics deal was occurring Tuesday at the Quick Stop on the 3100 block of Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove, CBS4 reported. Police arrested Ilitch Muñoz, who they said was selling cocaine.

Detectives said, Muñoz – who is an Uber driver – was in possession of a handgun. He was taken to Miami-Dade County Jail.

Munoz had no prior criminal record in South Florida, according to the Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach county clerks of courts.
