City of Miami firefighters found a body floating off Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Miami police spokesman Officer Michael Vega said there were reports of a missing swimmer around 4 p.m. and the body was later found off the marina, located at 3400 Pan American Drive.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson said the department received a call about an unmanned vessel that was adrift as well as a person in the water.
Petty Officer Diana Sherbs, a U.S. Coat Guard spokeswoman, said the vessel that was adrift was a dinghy.
