Murder-suicide at the airport followed an argument

The argument behind the murder-suicide at a Miami International Airport employee parking lot is unknown, but the identities of the men involved have been released.

Mario Fernandez, a 59-year-old Miami man, was found behind a line of cars in Lot 3 with multiple bullet wounds to the chest. He was dead.

Police found the body of 56-year-old Ivan de la Paz between cars. He had a single gunshot wound to his face that police believe was self-inflicted.

A witness told Miami-Dade police they heard arguing, then gunshots. Police didn’t know if the men arrived in the same car or separately but said the men were coworkers.
