Dead body found at Snapper Creek Service Plaza

A person was found dead at the Snapper Creek Service Plaza on Florida's Turnpike Saturday morning, but traffic is not impacted.

The death was most likely medical related, said Judy Saikley, the duty officer supervisor for the Florida Highway Patrol.

“We don’t know exactly what it is,” she said.

The FHP’s traffic homicide unit is on its way to the scene, and no roads are closed at this time.
