A body was found in the Miami River on Christmas. Police are investigating
Police found a body in the Miami River on Christmas morning.
At around 9:45 a.m. Dec. 25, officers responded to 340 W. Flagler St., just outside downtown Miami, after receiving reports about a possible body floating in the river. When police arrived, they located the body.
Miami Fire Rescue confirmed the person — who hasn’t been identified — was dead, according to investigators. Marine patrol units also responded to the scene.
The person’s cause of death was unclear Thursday afternoon.
