U.S. Customs officer dies in motorcycle accident on 826

A man traveling north on the Palmetto Expressway lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a metal guardrail as he entered the Interstate 75 on-ramp.

Marc Robert Izquierdo, 53, was ejected from the motorcycle when he hit the guardrail.

He died on the highway late Saturday night, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Izquierdo was a federal officer with the department of Customs and Border Protection.
