Dead man found floating off Marathon Sunday afternoon
Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the water Sunday off the Florida Keys.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office identified him Monday as Dana Lester Jourbert, 61, who lived on 63rd Street in the Middle Keys city of Marathon.
Witnesses called police Sunday around 12:30 p.m. after they saw his body floating near the Keys by the Sea RV and mobile home park at 6099 Overseas Highway, said sheriff’s office spokesman Adam Linhardt.
Deputies do not suspect foul play, Linhardt said, but they are still waiting for autopsy results from the Medical Examiner.
