Broward deputy hospitalized after patrol car accident
An off-duty Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was treated for minor injuries after his marked car was hit by an SUV.
According to BSO, the accident happened just after noon Thursday at West Broward Boulevard and North Flamingo Road. BSO Spokeswoman Joy Oglesby identified the deputy as Guillermo Valdez. The driver of the other car was identified as Farina Sikder, a 33-year-old Plantation resident.
BSO did not say who was at fault, but according to the Sun Sentinel, the black SUV jumped the median and hit the patrol car.
