Eight sickened by odor in building near Fort Lauderdale airport, fire officials said
Up to eight people were sickened Friday by an odor in a building southwest of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, fire officials said.
The stench started about 11:30 a.m. on the second floor of the Sheltair terminal at 1050 Lee Wagener Blvd., said Mike Jachles, with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue. By 1:30 p.m. the "all clear" had been given and the situation was resolved, he said.
