Traffic alert: Toy Run to shut parts of I-95, I-595 in Broward
Stretches of two major highways in Broward County will be shut down several hours on Sunday for an annual holiday toy run.
▪ Northbound Interstate 95 will be closed from Hallandale Beach Boulevard to the I-595 interchange from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
▪ Westbound I-595 will be closed from I-95 to 136th Avenue from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Highways in North Miami-Dade and South Broward will also have heavier than usual traffic with fans heading to and from Sunday’s Dolphins vs. Ravens game. Kickoff is 1 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens.
The Toys in the Sun Run motorcycle parade begins at the Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale Beach and ends with a party at Markham Park in Sunrise. Event cost is $10 with a toy.
