One person has died in a fire at a Hallandale Beach mobile home park early Friday, officials say.

Around 12:30 a.m. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue arrived at the Seville Mobile Home Park at 404 NE Sixth Street.

“Firefighters encountered a mobile home fully engulfed in flames, with heavy smoke and fire visible,” Michael Kane, BSO Battalion Chief said in a statement.

Kane said firefighters aggressively fought back the flames and fully extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. The fire did not spread to two adjacent mobile homes, saving them from significant damage, Kane said

But Kane confirmed one person inside the mobile home had died.

“Due to the intensity of the fire, the age and gender of the victim have not yet been determined,” Kane said.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
