Man found dead in a Broward canal, deputies say. Detectives are investigating

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a man found in a canal in Tamarac.

At approximately 10:21 a.m. on Saturday, BSO deputies, the BSO Dive Team, and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to reports of a body discovered in a canal near the 4000 block of Treehouse Lane. The man was already dead at the scene.

Investigators say the man hadn’t been shot, and foul play isn’t suspected.

The Homicide Unit is currently handling the investigation.
