Man sexually assaults 60-year-old woman in Sunrise, police say
Police are looking for a man detectives say grabbed a 60-year-old woman from behind as she walked early Monday morning in Sunrise, pulled her into nearby bushes, punched her in the face and then sexually assaulted her, police said.
The incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. Monday as she walked along the 3600 block of Northwest 90th Terrace.
The man, who was wearing eyeglasses, a black T-shirt, long black pants and white tennis shoes, put the woman in a choke hold and sexually assaulted her as she tried to get away, police said.
The man, who police say is between 30 and 40 years old, then left with the victim’s cellphone.
Police say the woman suffered a fracture in her face and other facial injuries.
