BrickellHouse gets temporary certificate of occupancy
BrickellHouse — one of the first Miami condo projects to launch in the current cycle — obtained its temporary certificate of occupancy.
The developer, Miami-based Newgard Development Group headed by Harvey Hernandez, said it is moving forward with closings on units in the 46-story tower at 1300 Brickell Bay Drive.
Newgard expects unit owners in the sold-out building to begin moving in in November.
Miami’s pre-construction condo market was still looking shaky in October 2011, when Cervera Real Estate began launching sales of the project for Newgard. But the market has since boomed beyond expectations, fueled by foreign buyers embracing a buyer-deposit model in which unit purchasers put up substantial deposits during construction.
