Kreps DeMaria Public Relations and Marketing, one of South Florida’s largest public-relations firms, has opened up an office in New York City.

Founded in 1988, Kreps DeMaria works with national and local firms involved in real estate, tourism, law, banking, the arts, retail and other businesses. It is headquartered in Coral Gables.

“This is the next phase in the evolution of the firm,” Sissy DeMaria, a partner at the firm, said in a statement. “The time was ripe to now focus on establishing and growing an office in New York to better serve our roster of New York clients with a significant presence in Miami and our Miami-based clients wishing to enjoy more national media exposure.”

DeMaria will run the New York office at 232 Madison Ave., not far from the Empire State building.

Two years ago the firm founded an international public-network relations called WorldWise PR Affiliates that has offices on four continents.
