Why she’s Food 50: Her culinary incubator and community gathering space is the freshest food concept yet in white-hot Wynwood.

Della Heiman’s vision for The Wynwood Yard, a food truck-strewn lot that opened a few months ago next to O Cinema, is a little like Shark Tank meets The Great Food Truck Race with some Art Basel mixed in. Pop-up kiosks from sushi star Myumi and Heiman’s own, plant-based Della Bowls share space with rotations that include falafel-slinger Arabian Knife, Asian-inspired Sakaya Kitchen, Vibe 305 and more.

A community garden, open-air bar and other elements make you want to stay awhile, which is where Heiman’s programming like yoga and classes for start-up founders kicks in. “This is the kind of space where you can engage in activities all day,” Heiman says.
